Our Food & Menus

Food is our business, so naturally we take it very seriously – in fact almost to the extreme!  Pembrokeshire is a gastronomically inspiring county & we are constantly out foraging in the autumn, growing our own herbs & salad leaves in the summer, or pickling our own preserves for the winter months!!

Pop in during the afternoon and you’re likely to catch the smell of freshly baked bread straight out of the oven – Debbie makes all our bread here on a daily basis.

Our meat is sourced from butchers in Narberth & Milton who have won “True Taste of Wales” awards, and our locally sourced vegetables come from the greengrocer down the road in Tenby who was also awarded in the True Taste Awards.

We have our own hot & cold smokers – why buy smoked salmon when our cold smoker produces the most sublime salmon you’ve ever tried?  We’ve smoked Tuna, Bass, cheese & red meats – all distinctly different when you smoke your own!!

In the spring wild garlic features heavily on the menu – Pembrokeshire is literally covered in it for a month!  We forage samphire grass near Cresselly & crab apples from our village.  In June elderflowers make beautifully scented jellies, whilst towards the end of summer, lavender from our garden makes delicious panacottas & crème brûlées. We have our own boat & have even been known to put our own line caught mackerel, caught in Carmarthen Bay, & then smoked by us, into a delightful pate.

John Handicott, our fisherman friend, supplies us with wonderful fresh lobsters & will sit in his boat for hours fishing for the most amazing sea bass for us to put on our specials menu that night!

We’re blessed in Pembrokeshire and surrounded by all this wonderful produce, from both arable & livestock farms, & with skill & imagination are proud to share it with you, our customers.
